Sgraffito Vase
This vase was thrown in a buff colored clay and then black slip was applied. While the piece was still leather-hard I carved a design into the slip exposing the clay underneath. It was then glazed in a celadon glaze, creating this deep almost blue color with the lighter green celadon. It measures 5”x4”x4”. Microwave and dishwasher safe but not oven safe.
