Interior Design, Jewelry, and Style
Recently I’ve been thinking about curating your jewelry collection like you would art for your home. Our jewelry is a very personal decision, so why not wear what you love?
The art in my home is very personal. In our living room I have a watercolor painting that my husband and I bought while we were dating. The name of the boat in the painting is the “Natty Boat”, a reference to the beer my husband likes to drink. (The painting is classy, I promise!) In my office I have a print of the plaza in Sienna, Italy from our honeymoon. I have a print from my study abroad adventures in Spain in my kitchen.
I have designed our home around these pieces, choosing paint colors to complement them and incorporating them into our daily lives. In fact, I imagined how I would decorate a future living room when my husband bought the “Natty Boat” to make sure it would fit into our lives.
Along those lines, I started to incorporate some outfit ideas into my product descriptions. Much like I designed a room in my head before purchasing the painting, I like to design outfits in my head as I am designing pieces. I want to make sure they will fit into your life and wardrobe.
Here are some of the products that feature these outfit descriptions. Do you think about your jewelry purchases in the same way - thinking about what outfits you can build around them? Or if they will work with pieces you already own?
