Initial Sketch and Final Pieces

Today I thought I would compare my initial sketch and the final pieces from my last collection. Here’s what I started with:

Some of these sketches are exactly the colors I was hoping for, and some of them changed. I went to Pinterest and I looked at fashion trends for spring/summer 2023 as my inspiration for color combinations. I also had customers ask for designs in mustard and the turquoise granite, so I added those to my collection as well.

Some of the pieces translated quite literally, and others took a turn. The alcohol ink designs always turn out in their own unique way - the ink is unpredictable and that’s what really makes them special. I hope you enjoyed this collection!
